Big Youth, started his career in the early seventies finding real great success in 1972 when he first recorded for the late Keith Hudson.Big youth's real name is Manley Augustus Buchanan. For the next few years his popularity on the Jamaican market was immense, only to be approached by one Bob Marley. Big Youth's original chant-like style strongly influenced and changed the deejay style for the next decade. In his later work he more and more focusses on singing. Some classic tunes deeyayed by Big Youth include "My time" 1974 and a classic cut of "Touch me in the morning".

From his early solo work for Niney the Observer through a trailblazing
stint as lead singer of Black Uhuru - netting reggae music itÕs first Grammy
- to his magnificent later solo work, Michael Rose has consistently remained
at the helm of one of reggaeÕs most far - reaching sounds. He can always be
counted on to be challenging, topical, musically expansive and lyrically
visionary - no small feat in a genre that sets aside old styles like ska,
rock steady, roots and dub for the rest of the world to mine as it drives
relentlessly forward.

in Canada and is rooted in reggae & dub. He has been active in the music world since 1981 and appears on over 60 albums
with various artists.
A Dub fanatic of the first degree since teenage days, his first studio experiments took place in the mid 80's and when
he moved to The Netherlands in 1991, virtually unlimited access to recording studio equipment allowed his knob twisting
tendencies to develop to the point of no return. In the studio multi-instrumentalist Moore plays and mixes all the
tracks himself.
Twilight Circus Dub Sound System has performed 100's of live dates around the world since 1995. |
